Which Treatment is Best for Wrinkles?

By Therese Goodwint

Unfortunately, we all get some wrinkles as we age, and we all find this rather unpleasant. The way that people want to look more youthful and attractive makes it so when we have wrinkles, we experience unpleasant feelings. As we get older, there are many things that actually promote wrinkle development in our active worlds, and stress can be a big factor, as well as pollution.

The advancement of cosmetic science and technology has been welcome news for men and women who refuse to grow old. Injectable solutions such as fillers can have meaningful effects on those who would like some rejuvenation, and these are readily available.

The cosmetic market is flooded with options to choose from when it comes to looking younger. A common choice today is to go with a filler or other type of injectable solution, and the man or woman must decide on the right option due to what they need for their case. There are some basic differences between the fillers and the injectable treatments.

In order to decide what is right for you, it's good to have knowledge about how they differ. Injectables that are most well-known are Restylane and Botox treatments. There is a numbness that will occur near where the product is injected. They tend to numb the muscles in the area making it flexed and thus preventing the wrinkles. Patients are often surprised to learn that it only takes a moment or 2 for the process and then it's over. Immediately, the benefits of the injection can be seen, and for four to six months, they will be noticeable. No general anesthesia is necessary, and the ultra fine needles cause only a very brief and mild sensation of pain.

Botox is the most popular choice when it comes to injectables. It is a purified protein that works wonders to reduce or completely eliminates crow's feet, frown lines, creases in the forehead and even the deep creases of the neck. However, as Botox works by numbing the muscle sensation of a particular area, the lines reappear with regular activity in the area. Having a treatment such as this poses no risk to a patient.

Restylane works well on the deep wrinkles that are stubborn as well. The dermis layer of the skin is injected with this gel-like product, and the benefits from this process are well known. The most prominent ingredient in Restylane is hyaluronic acid, and this is a natural substance inside people's bodies. Problem issues such as crow's feet, neck creases, and laugh lines are all benefited from treatments such as these.

Using a dermal filler to make lips fuller is the most effective way. The results achieved are excellent, though they are temporary and will involve regular maintenance.

Some redness and swelling will be there, which will subside after a few hours and bruises after a few days. When the treatment is over, you can go back to your day without missing a beat, as these take no time to recover. The cost of the treatment will depend upon a number of factors, though both the processes are temporary and maintenance is recommended every 4-6 months.
